New Delhi: 15th April, 2013: The Welfare Party of India will launch a national campaign against all draconian laws that violate the basic human rights of citizens and negate constitutional guarantees of freedom and liberty. The decision was taken at the meeting of the subcommittee constituted for this at the Federal Working Committee meeting held at Aluva in Kerala on 15 and 16th January, 2013.

The meeting presided over by national president Mujtaba Farooq was attended by Dr. S.Q.R. Ilyas, general secretary, P.C. Hamza, convenor, Abdul Hameed Vaniyamabalam from Kerala, Advt. Zainul Abdeen and Subramani from Tamilnadu, Advt. Shafeeulla Qadri from Andhra Pradesh, Er Rashid Hussain from Rajastan, Javed Mohammed, Advt. Satyendra Singh and Advt. SA Gilani from Uttar Pradesh, Abdul Raoof from Maharashtra.

The state convenors of this fortnight long campaign from 15th to 30th September are Abdul Hameed vaniyamabalam, Kerala, Ad. Zainul Abdeen, Tamilnadu, Advt. Shafeeulla Qadri, Andhra Pradesh, Advt. Paker Farooq and Advt. Rashid Hussain, Rajastan, Javed Mohammed, Uttar Pradesh, Abdul Raoof, Maharashtra, Sheikh Naeemudheen,  West Bengal and Shabeer Wani, Karnataka.Various suggestions were put forth by the members to reach out to maximum people and make this a real mass campaign. It has been decided to hold mass rallies, table talk, seminars, signature campaign, on line petition, human chain, street plays, public hearings,
It was also decided to explore all means of publicity methods. Various committees like organizing, content, publicity etc have been formed.
