New Delhi (19/03/2015) Welfare Party of India in its press statement released today strongly condemned the mysterious death of the upright IAS officer Mr. D K Ravi Kumar in Bangalore and demanded a CBI probe into his death.
Describing the death of the young officer as most unfortunate and shocking, Welfare Party of India said his death exposes the alarmingly increasing rate of corruption in the country and the government's failure to provide protection to these honest and brave officers. Mr D K Ravi, 2009 batch IAS officer who had exposed the Sand Mafia and land Mafia in the state of Karnataka should meet with such a fate is extremely shameful, it added.
The Welfare Party of India also condemned the irresponsible statements made by the Home Minister of Karnataka K J George who even before the investigation called the officers death as suicide and for personal reasons and thereby trying to hush up things and shying away from responsibility, when the officer had many real threats to his life.
Welfare Party of India said a free and impartial investigation and punishment to the culprits will send a strong message, install faith in the system and the fight against corruption taken up by Mr. DK Ravi Kumar will not be defeated, the statement continued.
