New Delhi: 20th February, 2017. Welfare Party of India strongly criticized the hateful and divisive speech made by the prime minister in his election campaign in UP.

Welfare Party national President Dr. S. Q. R. Ilyas in a statement said Modi has lost the constitutional and moral right to continue in his office representing plural polity of the nation.  “Seeing everything through the prism of caste and community is the disease of the BJP. The prime minister’s claim of sab ke saath sab ka vikas is heartless and hollow.

The prime minister should face legal proceedings for hate crimes. The BJP labelling others pseudo-secular couldn't find even a single Muslim candidate out of 384 fielded for 403 assembly seats of UP.

Fielding one community against the other and promoting division and polarization will not save the BJP from the ire of the public,” the statement continued.
