WPI expresses grief over the rain fury and flood disaster

New Delhi, 21 June, 2013: The Welfare Party of India expresses its grief over the destruction in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand due to heavy rain fury and flood disaster. The general secretary of WPI, Dr SQR Ilyas said that the continuous rain fury and flood in Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh has caused a horrible destruction of uncountable human life and property. In this harrowing hour, the Welfare Party of India pays its heartedly sympathy to all the residents and victims in the affected areas as well as it pays its consolation and bereavement to all the families of the people who died (although death toll continues…) in the disaster.

The general secretary further said that besides the central and the state governments, all the other welfare organizations and institutions must come forward to help and stand with the distressed people and take active participation in rescue, relief and rehabilitation of the victims.

Dr Ilyas also appealed to the central government to declare it a national calamity. He further said in his statement that although the man cannot tame the natural disasters but many a times he invites them himself. According to the environmentalists, the horrible deforestation in the country has disturbed the environmental balance to a great extent. WPI demands the central as well as the state governments not to allow the environmental disturbances in the country.
