Parliament attack and Mumbai attack fake and state sponsored, Welfar...

New Delhi: July 15th .
Welfare Party of India asked the union government to make its stand clear in the wake of reliable revelations that the Parliament attack and Mumbai attack were fake and state sponsored. It is to be noted that quoting IPS Officer Satish Verma of Gujarat, former undersecretary of the Ministry of Home Affairs had stated that the parliament attack on 13th December, 2001 and the Mumbai attack on 26th November 2008 were in fact managed by the concerned union governments of the time.

Dr.S.Q.R. Ilyas, general secretary of the Party in a statement said that many of the explanations extended by union government, Maharashtra state government and various investigation agencies had raised so many questions. As the incidents were of prime importance concerning the security of the nation, in spite of many weak points, the stand of union government and of intelligence agencies had acquired almost wide acceptance. Even the media played the same tune what the government wanted.

Dr. Ilyas in his statement remembered an incident of a union minister saying during a meeting with a delegation of Majlis-e-Mushawarat, an umbrella body of Muslim organizations that the parliament attack was fake and a drama. Welfare Party general secretary lamented that the Home Ministry and Police officials were refusing to reveal any detail related with these incidents on its plea under RTI. Under the RTI Act, Welfare Party had asked for details regarding whether any commission or committee had been set up to investigate the Parliament attack and if so, who were the members and who  were the in-charges and if any report had been submitted by the investigation teams or commission, so a copy of that be provided. For the RTI application, it was said that an FIR had been registered at Parliament street police station with 417/201 number and that the investigation was going on by the Special Cell of Delhi police. The statement of the Party alleged that it was very disturbing and distressing thatsuch a serious case has been dealt in such a senseless manner and also that no report had been come to light till date after 12 years.

In the RTI application it was also asked whether any Indian citizen was arrested by the Police in this regard, what was his name and under which section he was charge sheeted, in which court the legal proceedings were going on. The Party got the reply that details could not be given as they were very sensitive. It was really worrisome that to the enquiry whether any police official was facing charge for laxity of duty, the answer was a silence. The reply given to the question whether any action had been taken against the guards who had permitted the ambassador car laden with explosives and the terrorists inside to enter in, who of the home ministry had sanctioned the entry pass for the vehicle, it was replied that a security officer was framed in this connection but charges against him could not be proved or substantiated. It was also replied that no pass was given by Parliament security service. So the question naturally will arise, how and who had issued the pass of the Home ministry to the attackers.

The Party strongly asked the union government to reveal all details that it possess regarding the incident which had opened an additional chapter in terrorism. The latest revelations have not only aroused a lot of questions but also put the government in defensive and doubtful position. Dr. Ilyas retreated party’s demand for appointment of a judicial commission to investigate all terror related incidents and to publish a white paper in this regard.
