New Delhi (9th April 2015) Welfare Party of India will organize one month-long nationwide campaign against anti-people policies of Modi-led-government from 1st may to 30th may. This decision was taken at the two-day meeting of state presidents and secretaries. Office bearers of states such as Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Uttarapradesh, Rajasthan, Delhi and West Bengal were present. The meeting was chaired by Dr.Sayyed Qasim Rasool Ilyas, National President, WPI. The meeting observed that the central government has been implementing series of anti-people policies for the benefit of corporate and multi-national companies. The Modi-led-government which came to power on promise of good days and ‘Sab ka saath sab ka vikas’ did nothing for people except creating turbulence by taking anti-people policy and fanning communal flare up. The objective of this campaign titled ‘save the nation from corporate capitalism, communal fascism and corruption’ is to awaken the people of the evils of the policy. ‘By awakening the people through this campaign, we want to exert pressure on the government so that the wrong policies are reversed’. The party will try to take together of all like minded and who oppose the anti people policies of the central saffron government. All the democratic tools and means will be utilized for the success of the campaign. Public meeting, corner meeting, rally, public speech, signature campaign, street play and social media will be fully utilized.
