Ban on cattle slaughter and restrictions on cattle trade is ill-advi...
New Delhi: 26th May, 2017. Welfare Party of India strongly criticised the Sangh parivar government for its latest order putting ban on cattle slaughter and restrictions on cattle trade. Party national president Dr. S.Q.R.Ilyas in a statement said the order released by Union Environment Ministry would bring unprecedented chaos and conflicts in the country in the name of cow and cattle. "This order will have high adverse effects on the rural economy. People will cease to rear cattle. It will affect the national economy also as lakhs and lakhs of people are engaged with this trade. Conditions for cattle trade as per the order are highly complicated and will invite corruption by officials. Moreover the already surcharged communal atmosphere due to cow vigilantes’ terrorism will get further explosive. Every possibility is there for polarising activities by these elements to get widened as they are being motivated and ‘rewarded’ by the ill-advised order of the government. We strongly demand to immediately take back the order,” the statement continued.
